The 11-Days Mardi Himal Trek is a trip to Mardi Himal (5,587 m) lying in the Annapurna Himalaya region. The journey starts from Pokhara from where we reach Kande, and then a trek to Pothana and Deurali.
 

The trek helps experience the picturesque views of the mountains around and the green hills full of rhododendrons and other flowers. During the excursion, we head towards our final destination Mardi Himal passing through the valleys, forests, exotic lakes, and waterfalls.

DAY 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arriving at the world-renowned Tribhuwan International Airport in the center of Kathmandu Valley, our great and warm staff will greet you and help you transfer to the designated hotel. After checking in, you can also take some time to rest and recover on your finest journey, or if you prefer, visit our office and prepare last-minute details of any trip details.

You will also spend the night in an assigned hotel in Kathmandu, where you can relax and enjoy the best evening before your adventure begins. The comfortable accommodations will help you settle through and prepare for the exciting full days ahead.

DAY 2

Flight / Drive to Pokhara

Upon early breakfast, you will catch a thorough flight at Pokhara, which takes around 30 minutes, giving you the most aerial views of the great mountains and valleys. Alternatively, you can take a cab or other transportation services, which will take around 6-7 hours to get through the road, depending on the traffic and the finest road conditions. The drive also goes through scenic journeys well,  well-placed landscapes, rivers, and tiny villages.

Upon arrival through the Pokhara, check in at your fine hotel and take some time to relax and ponder. Spend the evening exploring the peaceful lakeside area or rest after travel. Meals are breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring you're well-prepared for the trek well ahead of the day.

DAY 3

Drive to Phedi and Trek to Pothana (1,925 m) 4 Hrs trek

Through the wonderful Pokhara, you will take excellent public transport or a cab and reach Phedi, the beginning point of your trek. From Phedi, go on the main uphill hike, which will take approximately four hours. Then, reach Pothana, a scenic village at a high altitude of 1,900 meters. Pothana is the fine stop for trekkers through the fine Annapurna region, especially those heading at the whole Ghandruk or Mardi Himal Base Camp. The village gives stunning views of the nearby mountains and lush greenery, making it a fine spot to rest and acclimatize.

After arriving at the Pothana, you will check into the local teahouse on a fine night. The peaceful atmosphere and serene surroundings give a fine opportunity to relax and reflect through the day's trek. 

DAY 4

Pothana (1,925 m) to Forest Camp (2,600 m) 4 hrs trek

Through the Pothana, the trail goes through the Forest Camp, a calm location that is thanked by the place. As they go through the woods, you will pass through the thick groves of maple, oak, hemlock, and fine full rhododendrons, creating a lush and pleasing environment. The area is also filled with wildlife, and you may spot the langur monkeys and frolicking deer along the way, adding a complete touch of excitement to your trek.

Upon reaching the Forest Camp, you will check in at the local teahouse for the whole night. Here, you can rest and enjoy the natural beauty of your surroundings. The evening offers an excellent opportunity to relax, reflect on the entire day's trek, and prepare for the journey ahead.

DAY 5

Forest Camp (2,600 m) to Badal Danda (3,210 m)

The next day, you will continue your ascent at the Badal Danda, a fine spot for rest and acclimatization. Located at an acceptable altitude, Badal Danda offers stunning views of the close mountains and valleys. It is a great place to sit back and allow your body to adjust to the altering elevation.

On the day of hiking, you will check into the lodge at the fine Badal Danda, where you can relax and enjoy the great surroundings. The day is designed to help you acclimatize by continuing your trek.

DAY 6

Badal Danda (3,210 m) to High Camp (3,580 m)

Through the whole of Badal Danda, the trail also goes to the High Camp, a great stop through the Mardi Himal Base Camp. The trek at the best High Camp offers fantastic views of the close peaks, including Mount Mardi Himal and Machapuchare. It provides an excellent opportunity to rest a little further and prepare for the last time of the journey.

At High Camp, you will spend the night through the whole teahouse, resting and getting ready for the trek until the Mardi Himal Base Camp, which is a great, fine day. 

The night will also be quiet and calm in nature. Meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, will keep you energized and ready for the adventure well ahead of you.

DAY 7

High Camp (3,580 m) to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m) and back

After rising early today, you will also go through the fine Mardi Himal Base Camp, where you will be awarded excellent and superior views of Mardi Himal and the close mountains. The incredible scenery is truly stunning, and it's the perfect spot for taking full-time photos, allowing you to see the beauty of the Himalayas ranges in all their glory.

After spending some time all through the base camp, you will retrace your steps back through the great High Camp, where you will rest through the full night recharging yourself for the following day. 

DAY 8

High Camp (3,580 m) to Lwang Village (1,460 m)

Now, move through the High Camp (3,580 meters) at the Lwang Village (1,460 meters), enjoying the delicate change of scenery as you go through the great downhill. The trail will take you through whole forests, with finer and more marvellous glimpses at the surrounding mountains, and offers a chance to see the lush greenery and diverse flora and fauna through the whole lower level. 

Upon reaching Lwang Village, a traditional Gurung village well known for its great culture and hospitality, you will check through the inviting, beautifully decorated local teahouse. This peaceful village offers a beautiful opportunity to relax and experience the rural lifestyle in the fine Annapurna region. 

DAY 9

Lwang Village (1,460 m) to Pokhara

On the final day of your trek, you'll take an early bus or use a private rented vehicle from Lwang Village to return to the beautiful Pokhara. The journey takes you through scenic countryside landscapes, providing one final opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Annapurna region before returning to the busy city.

Upon arrival at Pokhara, you'll check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax and unwind. 

DAY 10

Take a flight or Drive back to Kathmandu

Upon the restful time around the place of Pokhara, you will drive or take a flight back unto to the city of Kathmandu, marking the last leg of your journey. The drive gives scenic views through the valleys and rivers, while the flight provides a fast aerial perspective of the Himalayas. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel to relax and reflect on the incredible experiences in your hard-fought trek.

You will spend the night in Kathmandu, enjoying a comfortable stay in your hotel. With meals provided like breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you'll have time to rest and explore the city at your leisure at your final departure.

DAY 11

Departure Date

On your last day in Kathmandu, our staff will help you with your airport farewell, ensuring you have everything ready for departure. They will have a good and happy farewell, wishing you a safe and fine flight back to your homeland and providing a fine end to your memorable journey.

Before heading to the airport, you will have the last breakfast at the hotel. This is the perfect time to reflect on your adventure in the beautiful nation of Nepal, filled with incredible landscapes, cultural traditions, and fine memories.
