Go on a great tour all through the awesome streets of the city of Kathmandu, where you will have a great chance to encounter and feel the city's incredible history, culture, and fine traditions. Your journey starts with a quick pick-up from your designated hotel, taking you all through the busy and crowd-filled streets of Ason, where the sights, sounds, and smells will give you a glimpse of the daily activities of Kathmandu Valley. From here, we will head to the famed Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which will transport well back to Nepal's medieval glory times. As you explore the square, you will gain insight into the great city's architectural greatness and rich royal history. Next, we visit the infamous Kasthamandap Temple, a grand structure believed to have been built by a single tree. However, the temple was utterly destroyed in the 2015 earthquake, and the ruins still stand as a testament mark to its historical significance. We will also visit the Temple of the Living Goddess, Kumari, where you can witness the great and captivating tradition of the living great goddess worshipped by several people of Nepal.
In the afternoon time, we will continue our exploration of the refined Kathmandu valley with a visit to the great Swayambhunath, famously known as the great Monkey Temple, to worldwide people. Situated on a hill, this ancient stupa is respected and held in awe by both Hindus and Buddhists and offers breathtaking scenic views of the Kathmandu Valley and the nearby hills. On clear blue days, you might see a glimpse of the distant snow-capped mountains. After a hefty lunch, we go to the northern side of the city to explore the famed Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most great pilgrimage sites for Hindus. Just a short distance away, we will visit the Boudhanath Stupa, the largest stupa in Nepal and a major centre of the famed Tibetan Buddhism, where you can drink Tibetan tea and immerse yourself in the peaceful ambience. Finally, we make our way through the Patan Durbar Square, another UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can see and feel its intricate palace buildings, temples, and great courtyards. The Patan Museum gives a deeper understanding of Nepal's artistic and cultural history, and the local Newari delicacies in the alleyways provide a perfect closing to the day.
