After early morning breakfast, take a 40-50 mins drive from the heart of the city to Sundarijal. We then hike upwards through a village following a large water pipe which supplies water to Kathmandu.
Sundarijal or a Beautiful Waterfall is the primary source of drinking water for the valley.
After 30 mins of the hike, we reach an army checkpoint, where you're required to show your identification and other legal permits, and also pay for the entry fees.
The trail continues through a dam and leads to a village. We take lunch at a guesthouse near the end of the village and the beginning of the National Park.
A small settlement named Mulkharkha lies in the buffer zone. We walk past through a beautiful Tamang village enjoying the views of Kathmandu valley below us.
While walking through the park enjoy the beautiful greenery and the possible sighting of wild animals and birds.
Continue walking uphill toward as pass at 2,430 m which heads down to the Chisapani.
Stay overnight at a lodge in Chisapani.
