DAY 1

Reach Kathmandu (1350 meters)

Our great representative from Nepal Trekking Planner will graciously receive you at the Tribhuvan airport and transfer you to the nearby hotel. You will be checked in and briefed on the program. You can take a great break and rest. Enjoy dinner and the hospitality of the hotel staff. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2

Full Day Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Begin your best sightseeing tour through the marvelous city of Kathmandu, a city rich in cultural and historical importance and greatness. Explore the famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, like the ancient Swayambhunath Stupa, the great Monkey Temple, the refined Buddhist shrine, Boudhanath Stupa, and the sacred Hindu pilgrimage altar temple, Pashupatinath Temple. These landmarks provide insight into Nepal's great spiritual art and architectural heritage.

In the afternoon, attend the great briefing session with your trekking group to discuss the next journey. At this session, your trekking equipment will be thoroughly checked as per routine, and if needed, you can buy or rent any missing stuff in Kathmandu. The day concludes with a great dinner, allowing you to meet fellow trekkers before resting in your city hotel for the night.

DAY 3

Fly to Lukla (2828 meters) and trek to Phakding (2780 meters, three to four hours walk)

Your day starts with an excellent morning transfer to Kathmandu airport and a scenic flight to Lukla, the portal to the impressive Everest region. Upon arrival, the trekking adventure starts as you journey through Phakding. The trail takes you through the great Chheplung village and Thado Koshigaon, offering fine views and a gradual introduction to the region's beauty.

As you trek, cross several suspended bridges, encounter great local settlements, and take in the stunning Kusum Kangaroo Point. The path goes through lush green forests filled with flora and fauna, and you will share the trail with several trekkers, guides, porters, and Khumbu locals. Dive into the three main meals provided throughout the day and rest overnight in the peaceful village of Phakding.

DAY 4

Head To Namche Bazaar (3440 meters)

The trek goes towards Namche Bazaar, followed by the ever-soothing Dudh Koshi River through the fine scenic valley at the great Benkar. Along the way, you will enjoy fine views of Khumbila Peak (5,765 meters) and Thamserku (6,623 meters). After stopping through the great Monjo, the well-known entrance to Sagarmatha National Park, the trail will pass through Jorsale village and reach the great Larja Dobhan, where you will cross a great suspension bridge at the joint center of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers.

Going to Namche Bazaar, you will be greeted by panoramic views of peaks like Lhotse (8,516 meters), Everest (8,848 meters), and the incredible and infamous mountain Nuptse (7,879 meters). Arriving in this busy Himalayan town, you will settle for a two-day rest and explore the great area. The day includes three hearty meals and a great, comfortable overnight rest.

DAY 5

Rest at Namche Bazaar (acclimatization time)

On this day, we stay at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization since we have reached higher elevation. We will explore the area around Namche; its beautiful natural surroundings, and the lively market as well as the friendly Sherpa community all of which has remained intact since ages.

We will hike to the nearby destinations, go to the Everest View Hotel to relish the views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam as well as the beautiful twin villages of Khunde and Khumjung which are popular for their historic monasteries.

DAY 6

Head To Tengboche (3850 meters)

We will start our trek for the day as we ascend out of Namche to first reach the Kenjoma and Sanasa settlements following dense jungles and other vegetations.

Then, we climb to Phunke Tenga through many bridges and hamlets. We rest at Tengboche before ascending on the trail which leads us to Tengboche. This trail takes us to lush green rhododendron forests. In Tengboche, we will get to see ancient monastery popular for the Mani Rimdu festival celebration and we will savor the views of Kwangde, Lhotse, Kantega, Tawache, Ama Dablam, Everest, Nuptse, and Thamserku Peaks.

Overnight stay in Tengboche.

DAY 7

Head To Dingboche (4350 meters)

We will head to another interesting village on this day, namely, Dingboche. We descend down the trail enjoying the sight of Musk deers, blue sheep, and Monal and then cross the big suspension bridge over the river, Imja before we reach Panchboche settlement. We will stop at the stupa in upper Pangboche.  We reach Dingboche which is a small village with stone patched homes, farmlands and the beautiful view of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Island Peak. At Dingboche, the route from Lobuche to Island peak climb unites.

DAY 8

Rest at Dingboche (Acclimatization purpose)

For we have reached higher elevation, we will take a break from full-fledged trekking for a day here in Dingboche. We will have short hikes to nearby destinations for adaptation to altitude. We will hike to Nangkartshang Gompa where we will observe the amazing views and the chance to observe the beautiful paintings of Thangka and Yeti Scalp.

We will explore the pristine Imja river and the picturesque trail which leads to Island Peak. We will return to Dingboche for an overnight stay after exploring the surroundings; breakfast, lunch, as well as dinner, will be provided for meals.

DAY 9

Move to Lobuche (4910 meters)

We gradually ascend from Dingboche as we head to Lobuche. We trek past beautiful chortens, stupas and Mani walls as we glance over the Ama Dablam mountain, Taboche Peak (6495 meters) and others along with the glacial valleys and varied landscapes. We climb to the Dughla valley, the final settlement before we travel to Base camp. Then, we reach the high ground which overlooks the Khumbu valley named Chukpo Lari where monuments are established in the memory of deceased mountaineers.

We descend to the western side of the valley as we walk over glacial moraines in the Khumbu Glacier. You will be provided with breakfast, dinner, and lunch. You will stay overnight in Lobuche.

DAY 10

Head to Gorak Shep (5180 meters, 3 hours walk) and Everest Base Camp (5364 meters)

This is the most awaited day of the journey as we head to the Everest Base Camp on this day. Note that you may be prone to acute mountain sickness on this trek so trek accordingly and take care of any symptoms or inform the guide in case of easiness.

As we trek over the moraines of Khumbu Glacier, we reach Gorakshep. Our walk ascends over the Pass, Lobuche and then we reach to the zone sandwiched between the glaciers of Khumbu and Changri Nup.

We stop at Lobuche for lunch after which we head to our destination that is Everest Base Camp. Following the rocky path and the new moraine trail, we head to the base camp. You will find the EBC flooded with camps and tents of the trekkers.

You will feel extraordinary upon ascending the EBC. We will capture numerous memories and we will return to Gorakshep. All the three main meals of the day will be provided.

DAY 11

Trek to Kala Patthar (5545 meters, around three hours walk); Head to Pheriche (4280 meters, around 6 hours walk)

We trek to Kala Patthar on this day before returning to a lower altitude. We will get prepared with our gears to start for the day as we move to see the beautiful sunrise. We will get to see the view of the majestic Himalayas including Mt. Pumori, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Changtse Peaks, along with amazing Khumbu Glacier and the Southeast part of Everest. We trek down to have lunch at Gorak shep while we head down to Pheriche.

With many ups and downs, we descend to Gorakshep gradually through the rocky landscape before w exit from the zone of Everest at Dughla as we move ahead to Pheriche. This comprises of a downhill walk. You will be provided with lunch, dinner as well as breakfast. Overnight stay in Pheriche.

DAY 12

Head to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters)

We depart from the beautiful Pheriche to move to Namche Bazaar. We will follow the Dudh Koshi river on this trail and we will move gradually.

We will see many fellow trekkers here with their porters, locals, and animals like the Yak. As we move through many lush green forests, bridges and waterfalls, we get to see many rural settlements, prayer flags, gompas, and monasteries. These are some main highlights of this trail. We will reach Namche Bazaar and will explore the busy street alleys as this place is a major tourist hub of Nepal. We call it a day as we rest here. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

DAY 13

Head To Lukla (2828 meters)

This is the final part of our trekking journey as we descend at the convergence of Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi; we reach the exit of Sagarmatha National Park as we reach Monjo.

We pass through the picturesque Benkar and beautiful waterfalls and many suspension bridges and villages like Phakding, Chheplung, Nursing, and Mani walls as well as prayer wheels.

We will reach Lukla, and get refreshed to explore the surrounding around the hotel we will stay at, later. Overnight stay in Lukla.

DAY 14

Return Kathmandu (1350 meters)

On this 14th day, you'll board the flight through the wonderland of Lukla to the Nepalese state of Kathmandu. The scenic flight lasts 35 to 45 minutes and gives beautiful views of famous landscapes, lush green-filled valleys, flowing rivers, and the incomparable majestic and daunting Himalayas. It captures the importance of the Himalayan region one last time.

Upon arrival in the happy city of Kathmandu, you will be returned to your hotel to relax and enjoy the ambience. The day includes all three main meals, ensuring a happy end to your journey.

DAY 15

Departure

With this, your trip comes to an end; you can extend your tour or select interesting packages with us, at Trekking Planners in Nepal.

You will be transferred to Tribhuwan International Airport three hours before your flight. You will fly back to your home country or head to another travel destination from here. We wish a safe and relaxing journey.
