The Everest Chola Pass Trek takes you on a fifteen days' journey along the route of the high Khumbu valley under the Everest and huge Cho-Oyu along with many other tall mountain peaks.  This trekking journey leads you to Kalapathar (5545 meters) as well similar to the Everest Base trek.
 

This trekking journey is considered one of the best treks of Nepal for the spectacular adventure it offers to the travelers in terms of the trail, landscape, and the cultural heritages present there. You will also get to witness the Sagarmatha National Park; one of the world heritage sites, located at the highest altitude and regarded the highest national parks in the world and a natural habitat for a wide variety of plants and animals.

This route moves alongside the Dudhkoshi river through dense alpine forests with beautiful rhododendron flowers and pine trees making the environment refreshing as well as scenic. You will be provided adequate breaks for acclimatization along the route.
 

You will get to enjoy the views of some of the tallest mountains including the Everest, Lhotse, and Cho-Oyu along with Mt. Makalu.

DAY 1

Arrive Kathmandu and fly to Lukla early morning (30 minutes flight). Then, trek to Phakding (2612 meters)

Our excellent staff will come through pic, pick you up at the hotel, and transfer you to the airport, where, after all the security takes you in, you will head to the place Lukla through the great Tenzing Hillary Airport. After the refreshing morning break, we will walk through the easy trail and then move to Phakding village, a great Sherpa village near Dudh Koshi River.

DAY 2

Move to Namche Bazar (3440 meters) with Sagarmatha National Park as transit (Six hours)

Early in the morning, you will walk to Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate where we cross the bridge to reach Jorsalle, the final village before Namche; this is a possible lunch stop. You will stay at a comfortable lodge in Namche with enough time to stroll around the area and explore it. You will love the lovely shops and streets of Namche Bazar and the vast village of Khumbu region where Saturday markets held once a week.

DAY 3

Rest in Namche Bazar For Acclimatization

You will get a rest day at Namche for acclimatisation before scaling higher altitude areas. At Namche within areas of a short distance, you can go to a viewpoint namely the Everest View Hotel which is within walking distance that takes four hours to reach; this hotel offers you a picturesque view of Everest and Amadablam. You can visit an intriguing museum to get information on the Sherpa culture, different plants and animals and the history of mountaineering in Nepal in your free time during the afternoon.

DAY 4

Trek Up To Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters, five hours)

After a good time in Namche, you head to a small place named Phunke Tenga, which is a possible lunch stop amidst the woods. You climb the forested areas which offer a view of Kangtenga, Tharmasarku, and other peaks. As you walk by a plateau in Thyangboche, which also has a Buddhist monastery; you will get the time to visit this place.

A beautiful place surrounded by snow-clad peaks and rhododendron, magnolia, oak, and juniper forests, this is a great place to stay overnight. During the month of October-November, a fantastic festival held here, it is called Mani-Rimdu.

DAY 5

Move To Dingboche (4410 meters, five hours)

Now you will walk downhill to Deoboche, a place covered by green forested areas, and then you walk to the windswept arid country of Pangboche.  After an hour of trekking, you will reach the scenic valley of Imjatse in Dingboche which faces the northern Amadablam with a majestic view of Island peak on the east. You will stay overnight at your hotel.

DAY 6

Rest in Dingboche For Acclimatization

You will rest upon the Dingboche at the acclimatization; here, you can hike the Nagarjun hill (5100 meters), which is well above Imjatse Valley and the great Dingboche. You can see the view of Mt. Makalu, the world’s fifth-highest mountain.

In the afternoon and the region, you will have time to go to the famed place Dingboche and reach the mighty peak of Amadablam.

DAY 7

Move To Lobuche (4940 meters, five hours)

On this day, the trekking route takes you to the winding path above the Pheriche valley offering you views of Taboche and Cholatse peaks as you come to a place named Thugla where the Khumbu glacier melts to become a river. After reaching Thugla which is a possible stop for lunch and rest, you will head to a ridge which has a memorial of the mountaineers who lost their life while climbing the high peaks around Everest and Khumbu.  You will reach Lobuche after a pleasant walk.

DAY 8

Trek to Gorak Shep (5164 meters); hike to Everest Base Camp (5364 meters) after lunch and then return to Gorakshep

Your goal for this day is to reach the Everest Base camp; on this day, you will go through a flat valley, followed by a steep climb to a ridge near the Khumbu glacier.

You will head to the Gorak Shep situated at the bottom of Kalapathar and Pumori peak en route EBC with short breaks in-between. From Gorak Shep, we move to the leading destination, that is Everest Base Camp with a panoramic view of Khumbu Icefall, glaciers above Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse peaks. During the season like April-May, this area floods with expedition tents. After this, you move back to Gorak Shep for the night before going back to Lukla by climbing Kalapathar.

DAY 9

Hike to Kalapathar (5545 meters) and move to Dzongla (4830 meters, five hours)

Early in the morning, you will go on to climb the rocky hill at the height of 5545 meters to reach the highest spot of this adventure.  After descending back to Gorak Shep for having breakfast, you will trek down to Lobuche to reach Thugla where the route goes on to Dzong, the base of Cho La Pass, near the Cholatse Peak for staying overnight. 

DAY 10

Move to Thangnag or Dragnak (4700 meters) en route Cho La Pass (5420 meters, six-seven hours)

On this day, you cross the high Cho La pass and cross the glacier on the Eastern side; you will eventually reach the top of Cho La. This high point has to offer views of Cholatse and the glacier. You descend to Thangnang for an overnight stay.

DAY 11

Trek to Gokyo lake (4700 meters, three hours)

You will gradually walk to Gokyo lake across the Gokyo trail beneath the Ngozumba glacier. Gokyo lake, also known as the Dudh Pokhari, is located at above 4700 meters.

DAY 12

Climb Up To Gokyo Ri (5483 meters) and then trek to Dole (4200 meters, six hours)

You hike to Gokyo Ri; this offers you fantastic view of world’s tallest peaks namely Mt. Everest, Cholatse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Makalu, Gyachung Kang and so on. You will descend downhill en route  Machherma and Luza settlement to get to Dole for overnight stay.

DAY 13

Trek to Namche (Six hours)

From Dole, you will move to Phortse-Tenga following the Dudh Koshi River from where you will again reach to a place named Mong. From here you will have to Namche Bazar for your last night at Khumbu before you move to Lukla.

DAY 14

Move to Lukla (2860 meters, six hours)

The trekking journey ends in Lukla as you descend to get to a river valley and the Sagarmatha National park and further exit to Monjo village en route Phakding. Then you reach Lukla and stay overnight.

DAY 15

Fly To Kathmandu From Lukla

After getting a great breakfast through the state of Khumbu, you will be transferred through the famed airport, and then, you will head back to the capital city of Kathmandu from Lukla through the flight. You will be assigned to your designated hotel through the TIA.
