This is the perfect package for you if you have been aspiring to step on the bottom of the mighty Everest Peak. You will not be disappointed as you walk ahead savoring the magnificent mountain scenery. This trek is considered a trekker’s paradise because of the fact trekkers around the world aspire to carry out this trek in their lifetimes. You can enjoy your final day with breakfast n the morning at any cafe or by strolling around the city or by shopping. Our representative will leave you to the airport before your scheduled flight via private vehicle. You head back to your country or travel destination.
We get the early flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. You can spend the day relaxing or exploring the Kathmandu city the way you like it. You can go to a spa or massage treatment around Thamel. You also have the choice to go on a sightseeing tour.
This is the last day for trekking. We follow the river, Dudh Koshi to reach Lukla. We spend our night at Lukla. We celebrate the completion of the trek with home-brewed rice beer and move along the beats of the cultural dance of the Sherpas.
After staying overnight at Tengboche, we move down the bridge above the river Dudh Koshi to get to Phunki Tenga; we can see the Buddhist prayer wheels here which run by water. We descend to the valley bottom to reach Namche.
We move across the villages like the twin villages of Pangboche as we make our way back to Tengboche. These twin villages include old and new Pangboche where old Pangboche has the age-old monastery of Khumbu and the new Pangboche is home to many guesthouses. We follow the river and walk through the lush green rhododendron forest to finally reach Tengboche where we can enjoy the amazing views of Himalayan scenery.
On this day, we climb the next highlight of this trekking journey that is Kala Patthar's viewpoint from where we enjoy the amazing mountain scenery. Upon reaching this viewpoint, w will be amazed by the sight of the whole Khumbu glacier down below us. And we will see some of the tallest peaks in the whole world above us. We head back to Lobuche from here to get rest. Note that you can descend to Pheriche if you do not want to go to Kala Patthar.
We wake up early to leave Lobuche to head to the Everest Base Camp to witness the amazing sunrise above the peaks. We first transverse the glacier while we make our way to Gorak Shep and then keep climbing along the glacier gradually to reach the Everest Base Camp. We stop to capture these amazing moments in pictures and then have a splendid time. We head back to Gorak Shep and stay there overnight.
After taking rest for a day, we head to the place named Lobuche as we walk uphill on the wide valley below the snow-clad mountains of Twache and Cholatse. The path gets remote as well as icy now and we scale on arid land.
We then move up on the bottom of the Khumbu glacier. Thre is debris from avalanches and snow on the glacier. We see the memorials made for deceased Sherpa. We walk along the glacier slope to finally step on Lobuche.
After the cumbersome trekking time we had, we take this day to rest and acclimatize. We can either rest the whole day or go for an acclimatization hike. We can go to the Upper Dingboche where we can observe a more traditional way of living than the lower one. There are several tea houses and gashouses here. We have the choice to go the Nangar Dzong too which is an ancient Buddhist heritage. We can move to the ridgeline named Dolma Ri too which is an easy walk. We can see beautiful prayer flags and an amazing viewpoint for scenery.
We first move down a dense jungle and then cross the river Imja to finally reach the Pangboche village. You will get to see amazing mountain vistas, a Tibetan monastery, Mani walls and so on here. The oldest monastery in Khumbu is here in Pangboche. We can visit it. We reach Dingboche after walking for some hours. Overnight stay at Dingboche.
We walk along the trail following the valley above the river Dudh Koshi. After spending time Namche, we hit the trail savouring the view of mountains. We see an amazing view of the Himalayas as we reach Namche.
We walk past Sherpa villages and many tea shops on our way; we can stop one of these to enjoy a cup of tea. We then move down to cross a bridge to reach Phunki Tenga village. We get lunch here to continue our trek. We have a steep climb uphill and then we move through lush green rhododendron forests relishing the amazing mountain vistas. We finally reach Tengboche which is home to an ancient monastery; which is also the biggest in the whole Khumbu region.
Since we are scaling higher latitude, we need to take time to rest so we can acclimatize well to the increase in elevation. We can spend time exploring the market of Namche; visit the Sherpa Culture Museum; hike till Khunde Hospital; go to the Everest View Hotel which is just one hour climb from Namche. We can go there at the time of sunset to enjoy the sight of golden rays falling on the Mt. Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Everest, and Nuptse. We can enjoy a free exhibit about the culture and history of Khumbu at the national park center which also offers panoramic views.
We walk along a crisscross path to cross a suspension bridge and make our way on the route that takes us to Sagarmatha National Park. We pass the checkpoint at Monjo to get our trekking permits checked and then ascend on the steep trail to reach Namche Bazaar.
If the weather permits, we may see the Mt. Everest. After walking uphill, we reach our overnight stop and we will have time to buy souvenirs or gears if you want to. Namche is popular because of its buzzing market and also because it used to be the meeting point for the Tibetan and Hindu traders.
On this day, we have a forty minutes’ scenic flight to Lukla where we can savor the beautiful view of the landscapes. As we land on the mountain runaway at Lukla, our real adventure begins.
We have a half-day trek on this day. We move along a river downhill across the valley of Dudh Koshi as we walk past stone villages, farms, and snowy peaks. We finally reach Phakding where we stay overnight.
When you fly towards Kathmandu, you will see amazing views of the whole valley, the scenic Himalayas and the terraced farmlands. You will receive it by our representative when you reach Kathmandu airport. The representative will assist you till the hotel of your stay; about the Nepalese culture and the other important things you should consider. After getting relaxed at the hotel, you will be taken to the major cultural spot of Kathmandu. You can choose any restaurant where you would like to dine in the evening at Thamel. There are both Western as well as Nepalese cuisines available.
