DAY 1

Kathmandu to Lukla via flight and move to Phakding (2610 meters)

We start the journey by first taking a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu which will take us around twenty-five minutes; after this, we start trekking to Phakding from Lukla after breakfast. W first get to CHeplung and then get to Phakding village which is our overnight stop.

DAY 2

Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters)

After a hearty breakfast, we move across lush green pine jungle as we enter the valley of Benkar and then cross the river Dudh Koshi to get to the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park. We get our trekking permits checked here and then walk uphill on a steep path and cross many bridges to reach Namche Bazaar; the tourist hub with the buzzing market.  We catch a glimpse of Everest on the way to Namche.

DAY 3

Rest day in Namche Bazaar (3440 meters)

We spend this day exploring and adjusting to the increasing altitude. We have a short hike to the Everest View hotel where we can savor the view of the Nuptse, Cholatse, Taboche, Khumbila, Peak 38, Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Kantega, Kwongde, Thamserku along with the mighty Mt. Everest.

DAY 4

Head to Tyangboche (3870 meters)

We walk ahead relishing the view of snow perks and on our way, we reach the junction where the path separates the Gokyo Valley and EBC. We move down along a pine forest to cross a bridge in Phunki Tenga. We then slowly move up to get to Tyangboche. We pay a visit to the biggest monastery of Khumbu here and might even witness the prayer. Here we will see the amazing views of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Everest, Island Peak and Peak 38.

DAY 5

Tyangboche to Dingboche (4410 meters)

We move down along a conifer and birch forest to reach Deboche and then move ahead to Pangboche. We get to the valley Imja, as we walk past Mani wall as well as shortens savouring the sight of Mt. Pumori and Ama Dablam to finally reach the beautiful Dingboche village.

DAY 6

Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization

We use this day to adjust to the increasing altitude. We head to Chukung valley by hiking enjoying the sight of amazing hills and mountain scenery. In the evening, we relax with a tasty dinner along with garlic soup and sleep well.

DAY 7

Dingboche to Lobuche (4910 meters)

We walk gradually saving the view of Lobuche Peak (6919 meters), Pumori (7219 meters), Ama Dablam (6812 meters) and others.  The path is easy till we reach Dugla and then we have to ascend to the Chupki Lhara after taking a short break.  Chupki Lhara has a memorial shrine for deceased climbers and colorful prayer flags.  After enjoying the panorama from this ridge, we walk along the moraine of Khumbu and head to Lobuche watching the Lingtren, Nuptse, Khumbutse, and Pumori peaks.

DAY 8

Lobuche to Gorakshep (5120 meters); head to EBC

We walk along a scenic path savoring the panorama of the Khumbu Glacier and the Everest’s northern ridge along with the nearby peaks as we step on Gorakshep. After we eat lunch, we head to the Everest Base Camp from Gorakshep along the rugged terrain and the glacial trail.

While climbing the trekking path, we see many climbers, as well as Sherpa, starting their expedition to Everest. After having a wonderful time at Everest, relishing the moment and capturing it in pictures, we head back to Gorakshep; we stay here overnight.

DAY 9

Hike to Kala Patthar (5545 meters) and move to Pheriche (4240 meters)

The day begins with the two-hour steep road through the Gorak Shep to the top of Kala Patthar, at least an altitude of 5,545 meters. This iconic viewpoint gives spectacular, excellent views of many peaks, such as Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, and the great Cho Oyu. We go to Gorak Shep for breakfast after diving deep into the breathtaking scenery.

After breakfast, we will head towards Lobuche before going on our journey to Pheriche, a scenic village near Dingboche. This trek combines fine mountain vistas and calm landscapes, making it a finer part of the adventure.

DAY 10

Pheriche to Phortse (3810 meters)

We first get to Pangboche and then walk ahead to Phortse after visiting the Pangboche monastery.  We walk along the river, Dudh Koshi savoring the sight of Ama Dablam and the Tyangboche monastery.  It will take us around 3 hours to reach the village of Phortse from Pangboche.

DAY 11

Phortse to Monjo (2835 meters)

We head to Khumjung village and get to Namche to grab lunch. We move downhill to Monjo and walk slowly because our legs can get shaky and it is easy to lose control.

DAY 12

Monjo to Lukla (2840 meters)

This is the final day in the land of Himalayas. We have some ups and downs as we cross bridges, walk past chorines, gompas and mani walls. We head to Lukla and check in to a teahouse. We take the well-deserved rest and have a wonderful time eating dinner with the trekking crew celebrating the completion of the trek.

DAY 13

Lukla to Kathmandu via a flight

We catch the early flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. You will be escorted to the hotel via private vehicle. You can spend your time relaxing. A tasty farewell dinner awaits you in the evening where we celebrate the completion of the trekking journey alongside a Nepalese cultural show. We can do this the following day if you want time on your own on this day.

Good To Know

On some days, the weather is not predictable so we cannot complain about anything for the change. During monsoon and winter, flights often get canceled or delayed.
