DAY 1

Day 1 : Kathmandu to Bulbule (840 meters) via the drive and head to Nagdi (930 meters); five to six hours

In the morning, we will head to the Mid-West alongside the Trishuli river which will take us a few hours and then we reach Besisahar, the headquarter of the district, Lamjung. We drive for some time alongside the Marsyangdi river and then walk up to Nagdi where we stay overnight.

DAY 2

Day 2 : Move to Jagat (1300 meters); five to six hours

We start our trekking journey on this day as we walk to Bahun Danda, a beautiful village at the hilltop and then second to Marshyangdi river from where we walk easily till Syange village. We walk for some time to reach our overnight stop which is Jagat, a wonderful farm with several lodges and views of pristine waterfalls.

DAY 3

Day 3 : Head to Dharapani (1860 meters); five to six hours

From Jagat, we first move to Chamje and head to Marshyangdi river. Then, we walk through the forest area with the panoramic views of Manaslu and Annapurna range as we advance to the village, Tal Besi situated on the beautiful valley. We move to Dharapani village which is our overnight stay. Dharapani is a village rich in Buddhist culture, located at the meeting point of Manaslu Trekking route and Annapurna circuit.

DAY 4

Day 4 : Move to Chame (2670 meters); five to six hours

Our morning walk starts with a walk along the pleasant rhododendron and pine jungle as we walk past the Danque and Bagachap villages. We ascend for a while to reach Timang village; from Timang we move to a Buddhist area with views of the majestic Mount Manaslu which leads us to Chame where we stay overnight. Chame is the headquarter of the district named Manang.

DAY 5

Day 5 : Head to Pisang (3230 meters); five to six hours

On this day, our walk takes us closer to the mountains as we walk past the amazing rhododendron and pine forest alongside the Marsyangdi river near the Bhratang village.

DAY 6

Day 6 : Move to Manang (3450 meters); five to six hours

We walk through a lush green forest to reach the hilltop to see the spectacular views of Annapurna II and III along with the Pisang Peak and Gangapurna Chulu. We walk till Hongde village from where we start seeing arid terrains.

We visit the age-old Braga monastery with relics of Buddhism, historical wall painting, and frescos; we will also see the majestic Annapurna Himalaya. Manang village is an hour away from here. There are Tibetan style houses here.

DAY 7

Day 7 : Rest in Manang for acclimatization; five to six hours

We will stay at Manang on this day as we have reached higher altitude and need some time to acclimatize. Before we set out on your journey for Thorang La on the following day, we go on a short hike to explore Manang’s surrounding underneath the Gangapurna and Annapurna peaks.

We can go for a short hike to see the Gangapurna Glacier and the beautiful glacier lake of Manang or we can hike till Ice lake, a frozen pond situated above the Manang valley.

DAY 8

Day 8 : Move to Leder (4200 meters); four to five hours

After spending a good time in Manang, we reach Ledar as we walk past Yak Kharka. We can relish this high altitude walk which has to offer the panorama of snowy peaks as we move across tiny rivers to reach Yak Kharka which is a tiny settlement with amazing views of Chulu Peaks, Gangapurna and Annapurna III. We walk for some time to reach Ledar our overnight destination.

DAY 9

Day 9 : Head to Thorang High Camp (4600 meters); three to four hours

After having a wonderful time staying at Ledar, we walk in the morning to resume our journey. We walk on a wide path as we descend first to a river and then move along a path with the chances of spotting the mountain antelopes, Himalayan Thar, and even snow leopard. As we move ahead, we will see a number of guesthouses and lodges as we get closer to Thorang Phedi which translates to the base of a hill or hill bottom in Nepali. We rest for some time and then ascend to reach the Thorang High Camp where we eat lunch and then stop for overnight.

DAY 10

Day 10 : Walk over the Thorang La Pass (5416 meters) and then trek to Muktinath; six or seven hours

We walk early in the morning for the adventure of the day after having a hearty breakfast. W climb up to reach Thorang La at a height of 5416 meters. We will get to beautiful Buddhist prayer flags of different colors.

We can savor the amazing views of the gigantic snow clad mountains and the diverse terrain. From here, we will descend to Muktinath, a place revered by both Buddhist and Hindu. Muktinath literally translates to “the place for liberation or Nirvana”

DAY 11

Day 11 : Head to Jomsom (2715 meters); four to five hours

After our time in Muktinath, we resume our journey and first reach Kaligandaki’s river valley where we follow the river, Kaligandaki to get to Jomsom which is the headquarter of Mustang.

We will have leisure time to visit the alleys of Jomsom along with the lodges and shops; this place is home to Thakali folks who used to trade on the old Himalayan Caravan trail of Tibet and Nepal.

DAY 12

Day 12 : Move to Pokhara (860 meters); twenty-five minutes

We depart from the lodge early in the morning with a short, fun walk till the Jomsom airport. We fly towards Pokhara from Jomsom early in the morning to avoid adverse weather conditions and to enjoy the Annapurna Himalayan range and Dhaulagiri range all the way up to the city of lakes, Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
