Expand Details Collapse DetailsMorning from Kathmandu on a fascinating drive we reach at Nepal Mid-West around Lamjung district at Besisar town. After that, we go up to Bulbule village, where the walk begins for a short hour to reach Nagdi village for the overnight stop.
From Nagdi we take an ancient trekking trajectory with the climb to Bahun Danda. Then we downhill to Syange by the bank of Marysangdi River. From here we climb for a few hours to reach a nice village at Jagat. Stay overnight for the night after a good first-day walk.
After a good nap at Jagat, we start the morning walk on a steady winding trail to Chamje. Then we move towards Marysangdi River. We cross the eastern bank leading into the wooden area of dense forests, with astonishing sights of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. Then our trek continues to Tal Besi village which is another 3 hours far away to bring you to Dharapani village where we stay for the overnight stop.
The morning walk leads to the windy path into a beautiful pack full of rhododendron leading you to the pine forest through mesmerizing Bagachap and Danque village. Then we travel through Timang village. From here, we trek onwards into Buddhist culture area with an astonishing view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft. From Timang village, we trek for a few hours which leads to Koto and then we reside to Chame town for the overnight stop, which is a large and major town which is the headquarter of Manang area.
The adventure does not come to an end here, it has just begun. The trek lasts into the cooler area from here onwards nearer to the mountainous region. Then we hike through nice alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, succeeding Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to the peaceful Bhratang village. From the village, we will walk uphill through alpine woodland overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak which will blow your mind after observing the sight so close to you. After the lunch break at Dukuri Pokhari, we walk to lower path of Pisang village for an overnight stop for the day.
Pisang village with prodigious views of mountains trek leads you through woodland with short uphill and views of overwhelming Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak. As the trek leads to Hongde village, the landscapes with cold, parched cold climate will visit you. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics so that you will gather information regarding the Buddhist philosophy. Then we walk for an hour which leads us to Manang village. The houses here are built up in old-style Tibetan style and Manang people are known for their rich artistic and civilizations.
An essential rest day for acclimatization before heading advanced elevation, explore Manang village, located beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range and Manang glacial Lake or one can take a long uphill climb to the high Ice Lake.
After a pleasant rest at Manang, morning walk leads to Ghunsang village on the difficult path to Yak Kharka. You will observe the stimulating high-altitude trekking with wonderful views of snowcapped mountains, then crossing a small stream river to reach Yak Kharka, a small reimbursement with marvelous views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.
We head towards the base of Thorang-la after a wonderful climb along the river bank. The walk leads at Thorong Phedi which is about an hour of a steep climb and finally brings at Thorang High Camp where you stay for an overnight stop.
Begin in the day early with a hearty breakfast and a fine, challenging ascent at the great Thorong La Pass (5,416m), the highest point for the great trek, offering breathtaking views of the great snowcapped peaks. After celebrating the outstanding achievement, move down a more accessible trail at the fine Muktinath (3,800m), a sacred site for Hindus and Buddhists. Explore the full spiritual atmosphere and surroundings of Muktinath. Overnight stay will be done at Muktinath.
After Muktinath, rest of the trek is reasonable with a big drop of 1,200m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley. Then we travel to Jomsom headquarter town of Mustang region with a small runway above Kaligandaki River. From Jomsom few hours trek we reach at Marpha which is one of the most delightful villages of all Himalaya regions. Here, you can revel with local apple goods like cider, brandy, and juice. The area from Kagbeni to Larjung is renowned for its enjoyable apple and its product.
From Marpha pleasant walks following Kaligandaki river downstream we reach Tukuche village which is just underneath Tukuche peak and Dhaulagiri. Then we visit a nice Kalapani village after a shortstop walks to another lovely village with outstanding views of Mt. Annapurna I, Nilgiri’s and Dhaulagiri, a short downhill brings at Lete village for an overnight stop.
From Lete onwards, we go through various change in landscapes. Walking amongst two high peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna forming world deepest gorge, you will have a wonderful time there. Then we head towards Tatopani (Hot Spring) village with a sub-tropic climate which you will enjoy a lot. You will visit natural hot spring to relax by the bank of River Kaligandaki.
After Tatopani, morning walk will lead you across a bridge over Kaligandaki River. Then our route leads up to the heading uphill on adjoining hillside, scattered with farms and villages, after a vertical section through thick alpine forest reaching Chitre and to Ghorepani- a village with magnificent of Mt. Dhaulagiri along with Annapurna South.
You’ll hike up to Poon Hill early in the morning for almost an hour situated at 3210 m which offers marvelous sunrise views over the chain of gorgeous mountains including Mt. Machhapuchare also known as “The Fish Tail Mountain”.The last day won’t disappoint you either. After an awesome time at Poon Hill, you will visit through blooming rhododendron forest.
Then, A long way down from Ulleri village will take you to Tirkhedhnga You will trek through various villages where you will have to walk through a junction of road connecting Baglung-Pokhara at Nayapul. After an adventurous trek up in the mountain, you shall be transferred to your respective hotels in Pokhara.
