Today, we will visit and explore some of Kathmandu's significant iconic, cultural, impressive and historical monuments, like the incomparable Buddhist monument Swayambhunath, the famed stupa Bouddhanath Stupa, and the revered Lord Shiva dedicated Pashupatinath Temple. These sites hold immense religious and cultural beliefs for Nepal and all beyond. After the full sightseeing tour, we will make an incredible trek for the entire journey ahead. This will allow time to prepare and gather equipment or gear for the great trek. The day starts with a satisfactory stay at a hotel around the great Kathmandu's heart.

Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu

We leave for Lukla early in the morning. This day marks the commencement of the journey as we first fly to Lukla and then embark on our trekking journey to reach the place named Phakding. We walk along the path traditionally used by many traders and communities for trading with Tibet. We first descend to the village named Chheplung and then had to Thado Koshigaon. We cross a suspension bridge and then move through tiny settlements, colorful prayer flags, lush green jungles, vegetations, and wildlife alongside other trekkers to reach Phakding. Overnight stay in Phakding.

Kathmandu to Lukla via flight and then trek to Phakding (2780 meters)

This day is set aside for acclimatization as we have reached a higher altitude now. &nbsp;There are so many interesting things to do in Namche Bazaar. We can visit the interesting market to try the distinct cuisines, buzzing shops, or relish the amazing scenery and interact with the cheerful Sherpa folks. We can go visit the Sherpa museum to gain a detailed insight into mountaineering, the wildlife, and vegetations along with the geography and culture of the Himalayas.&nbsp;&nbsp;We can hike till Everest View Hotel to witness the views of the Ama Dablam, Lhotse, majestic Mt, Everest and so on. &nbsp;We can even see the twin villages of Khunde and Khumjung from the hotel. These villages are popular for their decade-old heritages and school as well as a hospital set up by Edmund Hillary Foundation. &nbsp;Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Acclimatization break at Namche Bazaar

We start off the trekking journey by first climbing up the steep way out of Namche. We then walk on a leveled path to get to the settlements of Sanasa and Kenjoma along the lush green forest enjoying the views of the majestic Everest.&nbsp;We walk along the Kaligandaki riverbed and climb up the Phunke Tenga passing many bridges and hamlets. Phunke Tenga serves as a place to rest before we take on the route to Tengboche. After ascending for one and a half or two hours, we reach Tengboche, where we visit the age-old monastery popular for the celebration of the festival Mane Rimdu and enjoy the views of Ama Dablam, Kantega, Everest, Lhotse Nuptse, Kwangde, and Thamserku peaks along with the rhododendron flowers. Overnight stay in Tengboche.

Head to Tengboche (3850 meters)

We leave the beautiful village of Tengboche on this day to head to Dingboche. &nbsp;We first move through places like Deboche, Pangboche, and Pheriche to finally reach Dingboche. &nbsp;We will get to see amazing views of the mighty Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse and so on on the way. We will witness diverse wildlife and vegetations. We may see Blue Sheep, Musk deer, and Monal if we get lucky. We cross the bridge over the river Imja to first reach Pangboche. And then we walk past the alpine forest to reach Dingboche as we walk past tundra and juniper vegetation. &nbsp; We head to Dingboche from there. Dingboche is a tiny village with beautiful stone walled homes, farmlands and amazing views of Island Peas, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. Overnight stay at Dingboche.

Move to Dingboche (4350 meters)

Today we head to the Everest Base Camp which is the main highlight of the whole trekking journey. Remember to be aware of symptoms for acute mountain sickness as the altitude is increasing. We start our journey early in the morning after a hearty breakfast.First, we get to Gorakshep as we walk past the moraines of the glacier of Khumbu. We ascend to the Lobuche Pass and reach the area between Khumbu and Changri Nup.We reach Gorakshep where we stop for lunch. After taking rest, we head to Everest Base Camp. We trek to the Base Camp which might be flooded by tents and travelers if it is a peak season. You will get adequate time to capture memories in this time and savor the feeling of making it to the Everest Base Camp. We retrace back to Gorakshep and stay there overnight.

Head to Gorakshep (5180 meters) and then trek to Everest Base Camp (5364 meters)

On this day, we ascend to reach the pasture lands from Dingboche and to witness the view of amazing mountains. We walk past stupas, Mani walls and chortens to move ahead to see the Ama Dablam, and Tabuche peak (6495 meters) along with glacial valleys and the diverse landscape right before we ascend to Dughla valley. After walking for an hour, we reach a high ground named Chuko Lari where there are monuments built in the memory of mountaineers who lost their lives while conquering Mt. Everest.We then descend to the west of the valley after we walk over the pristine glacier moraines of the Khumbu Glacier. Overnight stay in Lobuche.

Head to Lobuche (4910 meters)

We move steeply down the Namche Bazaar at Lukla, passing through the Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi rivers and leaving Sagarmatha National Park around Monjo. The trail takes us through Benkar and great villages such as Phakding, Nurning, Ghat, and the popular Chheplung, with scenic waterfalls and suspension bridges through the way. The rewarding views of the great Himalayas make the journey worthwhile despite the rising descent. Upon reaching Lukla, we will relax and enjoy the surroundings before the tremendous overnight stay.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2828 meters)

We return from the Everest area as we go to the tourist hub of Namche Bazaar from Pheriche. This will be a downhill trek and we will walk along the Dudh Koshi river. We will walk gradually with the utmost ease.We will witness masses of other trekkers, local people, Yaks and so on. We walk past dense forests, summer settlements, waterfalls, monasteries and villages on our way. We finally reach Namche Bazaar where we can explore the buzzing market and then take rest afterward. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Head to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters)

Our adventure stops with the excellent morning flight back to Kathmandu, which offers fantastic views of the lush green-tipped forests, calm flowing rivers, and snow-clad mountains. The 35-minute flight brings us to Kathmandu's great, marvelous city, where you will be transferred to your assigned hotel. After getting some well-deserved rest, you can also explore Thamel and nearby areas through the evening if you want to. The day finishes with an overnight stay in the heart of Kathmandu.

Return back to Kathmandu (1350 meters)

We begin with a trek at the great Kala Patthar viewpoint, offering close-up views around Mt Everest, Pumori, Lhotse, Changtse, Nuptse, and the icy Khumbu Glacier. After taking at the stunning scenery, we will return to the Gorakshep for lunch before continuing to the great Pheriche. The trail, with the blend of rocky paths and gentle ups and downs, gradually leaves the Everest region well behind. We end the day through the overnight stay in the place of Pheriche.

Move to Kala Patthar (5545 meters) and then to Pheriche (4280 meters)

On your last day in Nepal, you can go shopping for souvenirs or add to your trip if you like. Our representative will later transfer you to the great Tribhuvan International Airport for your next flight. You will be helped with your departure, whether going home or heading on your next journey. We wish you a safe and happy journey ahead.

Bid farewell to Nepal

Upon your arrival to Kathmandu, you shall be received by our representative from Nepal Trekking Planner and will be transferred to the hotel of your stay with convenience. You shall be provided with the required briefing on the trip and about Nepal after you take rest and have a break. Later, you will be picked from the hotel for a short, fun sightseeing tour to the nearby places like Kathmandu Durbar Square which is one of the major tourist hubs. Also, you can explore the interesting shops, alleys, and markets. Delicious welcome dinner awaits you in the evening at an authentic Nepali restaurant alongside the cultural shows. Reach Kathmandu (1350 meters)

We resume our journey on this day as we continue along the river, Dudh Koshi to reach the tourist hub, Namche Bazaar. We will see the amazing views of Kongde Ri Peak and cross several suspension bridges to reach the Benkar valley. We walk past pristine waterfalls, age-old Gompa, and lush green forests. Benkar has to offer majestic views of Thamserku (6623meters) and the Khumbila Peak (5765 meters) before we reach Monjo which is the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park.&nbsp;We get to Jorsale village and then reach the Larja Dobhan to cross a bridge ahead above Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi’s confluence. We set out for Namche Bazaar as we move ahead on the steep path. We can relish the views of Lhotse (8516 meters), Nuptse (7879 meters), and Lhotse (8516 meters) on the steep trail. We finally reach the town of Namche Bazaar which is a popular Sherpa town, a superb place for exploration of natural surrounding and local lifestyle. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

We will stay in Dingboche area for acclimatization. We will take a short hike trip to higher altitude areas to adjust to the increasing elevation. Hike to the Nangkartshang Gompa has to offer spectacular views, insight on the heritages like the paintings, Yeti scalp, and hand, and Thangka. We can explore the beautiful valley around the Imja river and the path that leads up to Island peak. We have the choice to hike to the hill which is behind Dingboche as it has to offer amazing views of peaks. Afterward, we retrace our steps back to Dingboche for overnight stay and preparation for the following day.

Day 1 : Reach Kathmandu

Early in the morning, we set out for our journey with a drive. After having a hearty breakfast, we head to Jagat; this is going to be a scenic drive given the lush green hills, pristine rivers, and beautiful villages and mountain views we will get to witness. We reach Jagat en route Besisahar. This ride will be bumpy but will be fun. Overnight stay at Jagat.

Day 2 : Kathmandu to Jagat via drive (1300 meters); eight hours

Our trek starts on this day after we eat breakfast. We first descend to reach a river and then walk past fields of potatoes, barley and corn and again through the rhododendron and bamboo jungle. Then, we ascend to a cliff offering views of the majestic Annapurna ranges. &nbsp;We will walk along a steep, slippery path forward. We reach the Tal village as we move across rocky paths and move down to a riverbank. &nbsp;We finally reach Dharapani after walking for around seven hours. &nbsp;Overnight stay in Dharapani.

Day 3 : Jagat to Dharapani (1860 meters); seven hours

We walk towards Bagarchhap on this day which will take around one hour as we walk past fir and pine forests. We will go to visit the monastery here. We reach Danaque within an hour and then the trail turns steep ahead. We can savor the panoramic views o the Annapurna II and IV and the Lamjung Himal. We walk to Latamarang which will take approximately one and a half hour where we get lunch and we resume our walk. &nbsp;Now, we reach Koto Village where we stay overnight.

Day 4 : Dharapani to Koto (2600 meters); five hours

Early in the morning, we register the important permits for the trek and restricted areas. We move along the riverbank of the river, Soti, and then amazing pine forests, beautiful streams to reach Dharamsala. We walk past lush green forests and ascend to the Meta village. Now, we reach the Tibetan Plateau where we can enjoy the mesmerizing views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II. Overnight stay at Meta.

Day 5 : Koto to Meta (3560 meters); seven hours

We move across many suspension bridges across beautiful streams on this day. After walking for four hours, we reach the place named Kyang where we can witness the age-old forests of the Khampa settlement which is popular as the place where Khampa refugees who came from Tibet were captured and resided in the past). We walk along the Phu Khola on rugged terrain and then reach Phu village in around three to four hours. Overnight stay in Phu Gaon.

Day 6 : Meta to Phu gaon (4080 meters); seven hours

Since we have reached a higher elevation, we have a rest day at Phu Gaon where we have plenty of time to explore the local culture, natural surrounding and the cultural traditions of the Gurung, Ghale, and Lama folks. &nbsp;We can study the phenomenon of seasonal migration and animal breedings along with the agricultural works. We can also enjoy the view of the snowy peaks like the Himlung Himal and others. Overnight stay in Phu Gaon

Day 7 : Acclimatization day at Phu Gaon (4250 meters)

On this day, we descend as we walk past several streams and suspension bridges until we reach Mahendra Pul; this will take around four hours. We cross the suspension bridge which is located 80 meters above the Lapche river gorge. After eating lunch in Mahendra Pul, we ascend till Nar village as we pass several Buddhist stupas. &nbsp;This will take around two hours. We can relish the views of many peaks including the spectacular Pisang peak. Overnight stay in Nar.

Day 8 : Head to Nar (4110 meters) from Phu Gaon; six hours

We spend this day at Nar exploring the surrounding because we need to acclimatize and prepare for the further journey. We can explore the local lifestyle and cultural traditions closely. We will be busy preparing for the trek the following day. Overnight stay in Nar.

Day 9 : Acclimatization day in Nar (4110 meters)

On this day, we have a long hike starting early in the morning. We head to the Kang La pass; on the way we will get to see the majestic Annapurna massif. We descend down to Ngwal and stay there overnight.

Day 10 : Nar to Nawal (3660 meters) en route Kang La Pass (5322 meters); seven hours

We head to Manang from Ngwal. We walk past the Paugh village enjoying the views of Annapurna peaks. We then walk up to Mungli which leads us to the main path of the Annapurna route from Mungli. We reach Manang where we will stay in camps for the night.

Day 11 : Nawal to Manang (3540 meters); four hours

We walk past a stream and then climb up to the Tenki village above Manang and then walk along the Marshyangdi valley where we turn northwest to get to the Jarsang Khola valley; we move through pasture lands, &nbsp;juniper trees as we move upwards. &nbsp;We cross the village named Ghunsa, some mud roofed houses below the trail and then through some meadows to reach Yak Kharka. We cross a tiny river over a wooden bridge and pass through an age-old Mani wall to reach here. We stay overnight at Yak Kharka.

Day 12 : Manang to Yak Kharka (4050 meters); four hours

We head to Thorung Phedi on this day. Thorung Phedi is a small settlement where many trekkers and climbers take a break. This point is used as a base camp by many travelers. We make this point our stop so we can resume our journey to the high camp conveniently with ease. Overnight stay at Thorung Phedi.

Day 13 : Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedi (4450 meters); four hours

We cross the cumbersome Thorung La pass on this day; this is the important highlight of this trekking journey. &nbsp;We will walk through an icy trekking route which makes the journey somewhat strenuous but the views that follow will be worth the effort. We will have reached Muktinath within sunset. &nbsp;Muktinath is revered by both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. We will have time to roam around the area which has a Monastery and Vishnu temple. Overnight stay in Muktinath.

Day 14 : Thorung Phedi to Muktinath (3800 meters) en route Thorung La Pass (5416 meters); eight hours

We descend down the gorge of Kali Gandaki on this day as we move across the arid land. We walk past the villages of Jharkot and Khingar where we can observe exquisite Tibetan architecture. We finally reach Jomsom following the valley along the banks of the river, Kali Gandaki. Overnight stay in Jomsom.

Day 15 : Muktinath to Jomsom (2715 meters); four hours

After a hearty breakfast, we take a flight to Pokhara. This scenic flight has to offer the spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna. &nbsp;You will be transferred to the hotel upon reaching Pokhara airport. You will have enough time to indulge in individual activities, You can stroll around the Fewa lake or go for a fun boat ride or for a hike to World Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 16 : Jomsom to Pokhara via drive; thirty minutes

We retrace back to Kathmandu on this day from Pokhara. Make sure to sit on the left pane of the vehicle to relish the natural views throughout the journey. You will be transferred to the hotel upon arrival to Kathmandu. Day 17 : Pokhara to Kathmandu via drive; seven hours

On this day, we take a flight to Nepalgunj (50 minutes) as we relish the scenic views of snowy peaks from the plane. We will stay overnight at a hotel located in the city area.

Kathmandu-Nepalgunj

After early morning breakfast, we head to Jhupal (35-40 minutes) via flight and then reach Dunai(two hours) &nbsp;via drive. &nbsp;Dunai is an important administrative zone for the whole Dolpo area and is the main headquarter. Overnight stay at Dunai.&nbsp;

Our morning walk takes us to a ridge to Phoksumdo river valley as we cross the bridge of Thulo Bheri river. We reach the stream of Dhera, a summer settlement of cattle herders and then to the Rahagaon village. We descend to Chhepka, a tiny farm village.

Trekking to Chhepka (2838 meters)

Our destination of the day is Samdua village; we reach there as we climb and then descend through the jungle to reach the river bank and then move to a ridge to get to the Ryajik village from where we trek to Samdua for an overnight stay.

Move to Samdua Village (2960 meters)

Our morning walk will take us to the Phoksundo lake as we walk over the valley named Pungmo Kholas and cross streams following the Pungmo river as we ascend pine and birch forests to reach Upper region of Phoksumdo Khola.&nbsp;As we walk to the interesting Ringmo village; a short walk from here takes us to turquoise Phoksundo lake where we stay overnight by the shore.

Head to Phoksumdo Lake (3630 meters)

We will take some time and savor the beauty of the natural environment of Phoksundo exploring its varied landscape, watching the snowy peaks of Kagmara, strolling around the Ringmo village, studying the local lifestyle and culture along with the important heritage.&nbsp;

On this day, we head to the Upper Dolpo which is the main destination of our thrilling adventure; we ascend rocky ledge high alongside river bank with several ups and downs.As our walk takes us to the end of the lake past the summer settlements which then takes us to the Phoksundo Khola where we stay overnight camping beside the banks.

Head to Phoksundo Khola (3750 meters)

In the morning, we head to Phoksundo Bhanjyang as we walk past Phoksundo Khola and ascend hilly slopes to reach a high edge with majestic views of the lush green valley to Kang La pass en route Shey Gompa. We stay overnight camping in the green pasture land.

Trek to Phoksundo Bhanjyang (4717 meters)

We start our trek by climbing uphill to reach Kang La pass from Phoksundo Bhanjyang, this is one of the highest elevations of our adventure. &nbsp;We will see the scenic view of mountains including Mt. Dhaulagiri. We move towards Shey Gompa which is located at the bottom of the Crystal Mountain known as the Holy Mountain with the old monastery at close proximity.

Kang La (5350 meters) - Shey Gompa (4160 meters)

We will get some rest on this day; we will visit the Shey Monastery or Crystal Monastery. We will get to savor the natural surroundings of this place.

We continue to move to Sela or Gela La (5094 meters) which has to offer an amazing view of landscapes and the Mt. Dhaulagiri peak. &nbsp;We then head to Namgung Gaon which is our final destination for the day.

We head to our overnight camp at Saldang; we move across the dusty terrain and ascend uphill to reach Saldang.

Move to Saldang (3770 meters)

We make our way to Chagaon village as we follow the Nang Chu river with several ups and downs as we pass through Dechen Laparan and Sugugaon, a summer settlement for cattle herders. Then we head to Chagaon village which has Old Rapa Gompa and the historic Bon Pa culture.

Head to Chagaon (4910 meters)

We move south to the Tarap valley which is around Dho Tarap and Tokyu village, we then head to Dachu Khola and walk beyond. We take the same route following farm fields and then camp at the summer settlement nearby.

Trekking to Dachu Khola Camp (4700 meters)

On this day, we walk through summer pastures for some time and then from the base of Jyanta La, we ascend to the top of the Mt. Dhaulagiri range. We then descend to the base of the pass en route Tokyu village.

Trek to cross Jhyanta La (5220 meters) and head to Phedi (4900 meters)

We will have an easy walk to Tokyu Gaon today and stay there overnight as we reach there moving through Jeng La (5090 meters). &nbsp;Tokyu Gaon is an interesting village of Dolpo region with more than 10 villages and beautiful farms and historic monasteries.&nbsp;

Head to Tokyu Gaon (4209 meters) en route Jeng La (5090 meters)

We move downhill to Tarap Chu as we head to our overnight camp at DHo tarap which is an intriguing village with tribes from Tibetan origin as well as the regional Magar tribe.&nbsp;

Move to Dho Tarap (3944 meters)

We descend to Tarap valley which stretched to Tarap Chu river to join Thuli Bheri river close to the Tarakot village. We trek past Langa observing beautiful waterfalls as we cross Sisaul and Kesila. Overnight stay at Ghymagar.

Had to Ghymagar (3759 meters)

On this day, we walk on the Tara valley and the route takes us through the narrow gorge. We walk past Toltol which has a big cave; we may get lucky and see the wild animals like the Blue Sheep, Naur and so on.&nbsp;After a long walk of six hours, we will stay overnight at a camp at the union of Lang Khola and the river Tarap Chu.&nbsp;

Trek to Tarap Khola (3652 meters) en route Chhyugar (3440 meters)

After having a good time in Tarakot, we head to Jhupal en route Dunai. We walk till Dunai and then take a short drive to Jhupal. We will have lunch at Dunai and then via jeep, we drive back to Jhupal where we take a morning flight for Nepalgunj and then Kathmandu.

On this day, we will take an early flight to Nepalgunj and take a break; after this, we take another flight to return Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will leave you to your hotel; you can spend your afternoon as per your preference.

This is a free day for you to do any activity of your preference. You can go shopping or stroll around the streets of Kathmandu-Patan-Bhaktapur.

Leisure day in Kathmandu

This is your last day in Nepal. You will be transferred to the airport so you can leave for your home country or for your next destination.

We walk past small villages, and forests following pristine rivers to reach Tarakot which is one of the largest villages in Dolpo. Tarakot has a historic Sandul Gomba at the junction of Tarap Chu river and Barbung Khola. &nbsp;Overnight stay here at camp.

You will enjoy the great flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (30 minutes). You will also get a breakthrough, Lukla, and begin your trekking journey. You will head unto the Phakding (2620 meters). Stay overnight in a hotel over here.

After a great hearty breakfast, you will head through the Namche Bazar (3440 meters), the biggest Sherpa village. Break At Namche Bazar For Acclimatization

After trekking for one and half hour from Namche, the trail separates from EBC and takes you to Mung Danda, which locates on the top of a hill from where you can see beautiful views of different mountains.

Trekking to Dole (4200 meters)

The landscape is going to differ a lot on this day as you climb uphill along the valley side. The trail passes through juniper forests, summer settlements where yaks graze during summer. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.&nbsp;

Move To Macchermo (4470 meters)

You will go to one of the leading destinations of this trek, namely, Gokyo. You will go through the scenic trail of Pangka and gradually descend following the beautiful river which flows down the Ngozumpa glacier. We then head to the Cho La (5420). After this, Dudh Pokhari will appear, and the Gokyo settlement can be seen following the side of the lake. &nbsp;W reach Gokyo and stay overnight in a guesthouse.

Trekking To Gokyo Lake (4790 meters)

Now, you walk up to the Gokyo RI, which is well above the village and lies on the northern side at the lovely lake. This summit lets you view through the Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and great majestic Makalu peaks. You will go back through the Machhermo and stay overnight.

Hike to Gokyo Ri (5357 meters) and then return back to Machhermo

This route leads you to the Sherpa village of Dole en route Pangla, Luza, Machhermu, and Lhabarma, the path then ascends to Mongla Danda (4000 meters) and descends to Kyanjoma (3500 meters) with up and down the route to your next destination. You will stay overnight in a guesthouse.
