DAY 1

Kathmandu to Bhadrapur Flight, Drive to Taplejung

Take the early flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur, which is close to 1 hour. Upon arrival, drive through Bhadrapur to Taplejung; a journey will take around 7-8 hours. Enjoy scenic views as you move down the great, sloppy hills.

DAY 2

Taplejung to Mitlung

Start the trek, going through terraced fields and lush-filled landscapes—Trek for around 6 hours to reach Mitlung. Enjoy the fine scenic trails and local villages along the way.

DAY 3

Mitlung to Chirwa

Trek through the ever-cool Tamur River, passing all through subtropical forests. Hike for around 5-6 hours to reach the impressive village of Chirwa. Enjoy the calm trails and see the diverse flora throughout the way.

DAY 4

Chirwa to Sukathum

Trek through dense forests, enjoying the tremendously rich biodiversity. Cross many suspension bridges over rushing rivers. Hike for around 5-6 hours to Sukathum village.

DAY 5

Sukathum to Amjilosa

Trek through narrow gorges with great river views. Cross the ever-flowing Ghunsa River and move towards Amjilosa. After the 5-6 hour hike, reach the village.

DAY 6

Amjilosa to Gyabla

Trek through narrow gorges with great river views. Cross the ever-flowing Ghunsa River and move towards Amjilosa. After the 5-6 hour hike, reach the village.

DAY 7

Gyabla to Ghunsa

Trek all through lush forests and great meadows. Pass through the scenic landscapes on the way to the Sherpa village of Ghunsa. Reach Ghunsa upon a 5-6 hour hike.

DAY 8

Acclimatization Day at Ghunsa

Take some short hikes to acclimatize and feel yourself at the altitude. Visit local monasteries and see the incredible Sherpa culture. Hike at the great nearby ridges for impressive mountain views.

DAY 9

Ghunsa to Kambachen

Hike through high alpine landscapes with breathtaking mountain scenes. Travel rugged trails surrounded by tall peaks. After the 5-6 hour trek, reach Kambachen.

DAY 10

Acclimatization Day at Kambachen

Take a full-day hike to see the incredible surroundings. Visit the nearby Jannu Observatory for breathtaking mountain views. Enjoy the astonishing alpine landscapes and impressive terrain.

Kambachen to Lhonak

Lhonak to Pangpema/Kanchenjunga North Base Camp

DAY 13

Pangpema to Lhonak

Return to the site of Lhonak, retracing all your steps through the incredible landscapes. Enjoy the fabulous views during the great 4-5 hour trek back. Relish the calm atmosphere and finest surroundings.

DAY 14

Lhonak to Ghunsa

Going back to Ghunsa, retracing your steps through Kambachen. Trek for around 6-7 hours, enjoying the altering scenery. Experience the happy journey all through familiar landscapes.

DAY 15

Ghunsa to Sele Le Pass

Begin for a more strenuous and challenging trek over Sele Le Pass in the morning. Navigate through the rugged, high-altitude terrain for 6-7 hours—camp through the high-altitude site, surrounded by fine mountain views.

DAY 16

Sele Le Pass to Cheram

Cross the great Sele Le Pass and trek down through dense forests. Trek for around 6-7 hours, enjoying the altering landscapes. Reach Cheram, a peaceful village surrounded by nature.

DAY 17

Cheram to Ramche and Exploration to South Base Camp

At the place of Ramche, then continue all towards Yalung Glacier and the southern South Base Camp. Hike it for 4-5 hours, passing through stunning alpine scenery. Reach the base camp, which has excellent views of the surrounding peaks.

Ramche to Tortong

Tortong to Yamphudin
